Hear Ye, Hear Ye
- Shout out to the Talent Show Committee and especially Sue! Our kids looked so great, there were SOOO many people in the audience and the staff talent was wicked good!
- The PPS team was hopping this week. Thank you to Ashley, Ashley, Sophie and Teresa for all the ways they support our students. Your work is often behind the scenes, but it is definitely noticed and appreciated!
- The Forward Test is DONE for the year! Thank you to all of you that supported our students to do their best. This is everything from proctoring a group, helping with make-up tests, directing students to be quiet near testing rooms, organizing supplies and so much more. Thank you all so much!

Nitty-Gritty
- Career Week Celebration
- A reminder that Friday afternoon is the career day parade and dance party. We will use the stage to walk across and loop back down the stairs so that the whole school can see all of the careers that our kids are interested in. The last 10 minutes will be the dance party, with dismissal at 2:55pm. Thank you again for the committee for providing a great week of activities for our students!
- Fridge/Room Check
- Before you leave for spring break, please be sure to clean out the fridge in the lounge (or in your classroom) of anything that will not be good when we return. In addition, wash up any dishes in the sinks as well. Finally, be sure that there are not food items left out and that students have cleaned out their lockers as well. It would be great if we can keep any extra visitors from coming in while we are gone!
- Sheriff's training next week
- Please see Sam/Brad's emails regarding next week's training in our building during the week. The Sheriff's department is still looking for volunteers to help out. In addition, it is very important that you are not in the areas of the building that the training will take place between April 14-17 between the hours of 6am and 5pm. See their emails for more details.
- Sub request for Frontline
- One of our guest teachers had some feedback for us that I think is good for us to know. When you put in for a sub in Frontline, there is a spot to leave notes for the substitute. In this section, please leave notes there if there is a bus duty, lunch duty or recess duty for that day. This will help them plan for the day with outerwear and for more accurate ending times for their day. Thank you in advance for this!
- Recess Reboot
- When we return from break, Teresa will be coming to your classrooms to do a recess reboot to remind our students of the expectations for the playground. If you haven't signed up for a time slot yet, please do so as soon as you can!
TechKnow Tip
Don't forget over break to take a true break. There will be minimal emails etc from me. If I do send anything, you do not need to worry about responding until you return on 4/21/25! In fact, even better, shut your laptop and iPad down at 3pm on Friday afternoon and walk out the door ready to relax! :-)
Friday Funny
One of the best things about working in an elementary school is the joy that comes from such little things. As I take the Trojan Cart to classrooms, I find it so heartwarming to see the smiles and joy from kids over the smallest of things. When I saw the video below, I thought, "Wouldn't it be great to be cheered on like this at work?!" Let me know if you want me to come cheer for you as your grading papers, using your Viewsonic, completing your attendance, or really any of the things you do each day! :-)
