Hear Ye, Hear Ye
- Staff members supporting each other with students that are struggling with following the Trojan Way at school. When we help each other, we all feel supported and encouraged.
- A young man was beaming about his first EVER award certificate after the pride assembly yesterday. He even initiated a hug with his teacher!
- Shout out to Christina Abegglen for working so hard at helping our students share the expectations of how to behave at an assembly! Thank you so much!
- Third graders sharing their table of contents with me about their informational writing pieces. I learned about fishing, skateboarding, and cats!

Nitty-Gritty
- Thank you for your time on Wednesday during the staff meeting. I hope you were all able to get an idea or two from your colleagues that helps. If you have a situation that you would like to talk through with me, please let me know!
- If you haven't shared the priority standards document for your grade level, please do so. I would like to work with them to compile them in a format that allows us to see the whole school in one chart. If you have already done this, thank you very much!
- An email went out to staff members that notified me that they would like to work on a math or phonics analysis team. If you would like to join this team, please let me know!
PD Spotlight
- I wanted to use this week's PD Spotlight to highlight the PinkCast video that I showed on Wednesday for all staff that may not have been able to be there. Click here to watch the 100 second video. I am challenging us to do this every day here at Dodgeland. I wonder what effects, if any, there will be on our work environment. Will our students mimic us? How will that affect the climate at our school? I think it is worth our time to try to influence others in a way that helps build habits of kindness. It will take time, but I believe it will happen! Every day, every minute is important. What a great career we have!
