 Hear Ye, Hear Ye

  • This has been a wild year, but I love how each grade planned a special week full of learning, but also some genuine joy and fun learning together.  Thank you to you all for your hard work.
  • An amazing send off for our two amazing retirees.  I love how you support your colleagues and celebrate each other's accomplishments.  
  • Collegial conversations to plan for next year and how to make Dodgeland better and better.
  • SEL skills that continue to be focused on to help our students end strong and calm.

What's Happening at Dodgeland?

  • Monday, June7
    • Construction starts in earnest!
    • Bridges Training for grades K-2 (8:30-3pm)

    • Bridges Training for Grades 3-5 (8:30-3pm)

Nitty-Gritty

  • June 4, The Last Day of School
    • The last day of school is only one week away. As you plan for the day, please help your students to make sure that they have taken all of their belongings home.  It will be extremely difficult for families to get back to the building for forgotten belongings.
    • Recess will be canceled for all grades that day.
    • If you have a special (Art, PE, Music) that day, please communicate with each other about classroom schedules for the day.
    • Next, lunch will be mostly all at one time.  Lunch coverage will be from 11-11:30.  Click HERE to see coverage. (Make sure you are on the tab that says early release lunch supervision.)
      • Interventionists and Support Staff and Specials Teachers - Please reach out to your colleagues to cover bathroom breaks or support students that may need help.  Please remember that not all students are looking forward to summer vacation.  Summer brings. anxiety and uncertainty to some of our students.
  • End of the Year Tasks
    • Before you leave for the summer, please make sure to do these last details.
      • Milk Calendars (Here is the link.)
      • Green Extra duty sheets from this school year
      • Alt Comp reflections/form are submitted HERE.
      • Purchase Orders for supplies that will be ordered after July 1
      • Yellow reimbursement forms for the activity account
      • Donations of supplies for Haiti brought to the District Office
      • A map drawn of how you want the room to be set up when you return
        • Please include your original furniture if you have any in storage.  Any desks that were brought in due to COVID will be moved to the donation trailer as your furniture is returned to your classroom.
      • Personal items put away for summer school room usage
      • F/P assessment charts turned in to me in the office
      • Key Inventory Form completed if not already done (this form )
  • Summer Communication
    • I truly hope that all of you take the time to relax, enjoying what makes you happy.  You have been so flexible and patient and hard-working this year.  (Really you are every year, but this year is was so much more difficult with other constraints.). Please try to check in with your Dodgeland email once a week in case there is any important updates that we need to share with you.
  • Bridges Training
    • Just to share with you all, there will be teachers from other school districts joining our zoom sessions online.
    • Grades K-2 will be meeting in Room 115 on Monday morning for training.  There will be adult furniture there, however, if you prefer your own desk chair, please feel free to bring it to the room.
    • Grades 3-5 will be meeting in Room 114 on Tuesday morning for training.  Supplies will be in the room that will be needed in addition to any printed materials for training as well.
    • Grade 4K, your training is all remote.  If you would like to join me in the district office conference room on Thursday morning, feel free to join me.  
    • Watch your email for the links to Zoom for the remote training.
